Design Tips
Our drinkware products can be designed online quickly and easily. But designing a product that is printed all the way around can be difficult to visualise. Below are some hints and tips to help you to design your perfect drinkware...
1) Consider the join
When designing your drinkware on our website, keep in mind that you are designing on a 2D rectangle, but your artwork will be wrapped around the bottle when it's printed. The most important thing to realise is that the left-hand side of your artwork will wrap all the way around the bottle to join the right-hand side, so bear this in mind and don't put text really close to both edges (for example).
2) Positioning logos
Many of our customers don't want a full 360 degree design, they simply want to have their company logo printed on the front and back of the bottle (directly opposite each other) and our design tool has an easy solution for this. Each drinkware product has snap guidelines at 25% and 75% of the design area width. If you position one logo on the 25% snap guideline and one logo on the 75% snap guideline they will print directly opposite each other when the design is printed around the bottle. An example of this is shown in the screenshot below:
When you click and drag to move a logo across the bottle's print area, these guidelines will appear as the logo passes over them. The logo will gently "snap" to these guidelines to help with positioning your logos accurately.
